Uniform Division

The main duties of the uniform division of the Council Bluffs Police Department are to handle calls for service. These calls for service range from motorists who are having car difficulty or a neighborhood dispute to shootings, major disturbances or other life threatening situations. These calls for service average about 275 a day in Council Bluffs.

The uniform division officers have many specialized duties that they perform. The Emergency Services Team is also a part of the Uniform Division. All newly hired police officers must ride with a Field Training Officer (FTO) before they are allowed to patrol by themselves.
